Quick Answer: Plasma Jug

Plasma Jug is a Defense Trinket in Mina the Hollower. Defeating enemies grants bonus Plasma, and Mina's Plasma can temporarily fill above its normal maximum.

Plasma Jug is the upgraded form of Glutton's Jug. Equip Glutton's Jug and defeat 50 enemies, then return to Buffo in the Backwaters. Hand over the filled jug and defeat Buffo during the short fight to receive the Plasma Jug upgrade.

Glutton's Jug and Plasma Jug are two stages of the same Trinket slot. Plasma Jug should not be counted as an additional independent collectible slot.

Glutton's Jug vs. Plasma Jug

Glutton's Jug is the quest stage of the Trinket. Its purpose is to track 50 enemy defeats while equipped.

Plasma Jug is the completed combat version. Once the upgrade is finished, defeated enemies grant bonus Plasma and Mina can temporarily exceed the normal Plasma limit.

These are not two separate equipment slots. Plasma Jug replaces the earlier Glutton's Jug form after Buffo's quest is completed.

How Does Plasma Jug Work?

Plasma Jug rewards Mina with additional Plasma whenever she defeats an enemy. The extra Plasma can push her stored Plasma above the normal maximum.

This makes Plasma Jug useful in enemy-heavy rooms where Mina can chain several kills and carry the excess Plasma into the next encounter.

Is Plasma Jug Worth Using?

Plasma Jug is worth using when you want more reliable Plasma generation during exploration and regular combat. It performs best in areas with multiple enemies because every defeat contributes to the effect.

The ability to exceed the normal Plasma maximum helps Mina carry extra resources into later rooms instead of wasting Plasma earned while her normal meter is already full.

It is less valuable during fights with no smaller enemies to defeat. Against a single boss, its value depends on whether the encounter provides additional enemies that can trigger the Plasma reward.

Best Uses for Plasma Jug

  • Enemy-heavy exploration routes.
  • Maintaining Plasma across several combat rooms.
  • Building Plasma above its normal maximum before a difficult encounter.
  • Builds that frequently spend Plasma or use Plasma Vials.
  • Cleanup routes where Mina repeatedly defeats weaker enemies.

Plasma Jug and 100% Completion

Plasma Jug represents the completed form of the Glutton's Jug quest. If your save still shows Glutton's Jug, equip it and confirm that you have defeated 50 enemies before returning to Buffo.

Do not count Glutton's Jug and Plasma Jug as two independent equipment slots. They are separate database pages because each stage has a different name, effect, and acquisition state.
